Identifying errors in directory service authentication

The authentication error handling process has some limitations due to concerns about the security and protection of users' login information. For this reason, some configuration problems in authentication can only be identified through the logs of the application, or through the logs of the server where the authentication service is running.

For services running on a Windows server, we recommend using the Event Viewer tool to help identify errors in authentication with a directory service. Below is an example of how you can identify the events of the LDAP and SAML 2.0 protocols in Windows Server 2012 R2 Event Viewer:

It is important to consult the specific documentation regarding your server and directory service for more detailed information on how to identify and troubleshoot specific authentication errors.

Keep in mind that analyzing logs and troubleshooting authentication issues may require advanced knowledge of the system and network environment. If necessary, we recommend you request specialized technical support to help you identify and solve authentication problems.
