3rd-digit update

A 3rd-digit update refers to a major version change – for example, from 2.2.0.x to 2.2.1; the 4th digit can be ignored. Usually, in this update, the product receives new features, in addition to fixes.

1. Update the execution script.

sudo curl -L https://developer.softexpert.com/devops/download/2-2-1/linux/sesuite.sh -o /sesuite/sesuite.sh

2. Update docker-compose.yml.

sudo curl -L https://developer.softexpert.com/devops/download/2-2-1/linux/docker-compose.yml -o /sesuite/docker-compose.yml

3. Use the command below to give the script execution permission.

sudo chmod +x /sesuite/sesuite.sh

4. After downloading the files, take the following steps:

sudo bash /sesuite/sesuite.sh

In this next step, you will be asked to enter your access data on the SoftExpert Distribution Center platform; enter your username and password in the steps below:

5. Select option 2 - Update SoftExpert Suite:

You will be asked if you want to proceed with the update:

Select Yes to continue.

You can select which SoftExpert Suite versions you want from the options or select a specific one. To select a specific version, enter 4, then type the desired version, as shown in the example:

6. After applying the version, go to [3] Settings, then to [3] Configure databases, and

select the Equalize Databases option.

7. After the equalization, go back to the main menu and start SoftExpert Suite.
