Make sure you have a backup of all the database(s).
Make sure you have a backup of the server on which the application is running.
Verify which SoftExpert Suite version is installed on the server.
Make sure you have all the necessary packages for the update. Read the
Update package preparation topic for
more details.
Check whether there are users logged in to the system. The SoftExpert Suite
Installer Tool (TOOL-2.2.X-WINDOWS.exe) will log out all users during the
process.
During the installation process, we recommend you disable your antivirus
software.
First, plan and test the update in a test system. Check whether the update
was successful by executing the feature. After this verification, update the
system in the production environment.
It is recommended that the update process be started no later than 30 minutes
after the last database backup.
