Scale service (SoftExpert Asset)

In order for a gage to connect to SoftExpert Suite, Scale Service must be installed on the client machine(s). See the following steps on how to install this service:

  1. First, access the "web\wwwroot\sset\app" directory on the SoftExpert Suite server and paste the ScaleService.rar file to the "C:" directory on the client machine. Then, unzip the ScaleService.rar file into the "C:" directory.

  2. With administrator privileges on cmd, run the following command:

cd c:\ScaleService
  1. Then, run the following command:
SEScaleService.exe install
  1. After installing the service, start it. To do this, click on the Windows Start menu and type "services.msc". Click on the option and wait for the service manager screen to open.

  2. In the Service Manager, search for SESuite Scale Connection Service and start the service.

For proper connection to the gage, the service must always be running. To this end, configure the service with automatic startup, so that it starts up together with Windows.
