Configuring a certificate

caution
  • Create a directory to add the certificate in which the SoftExpert Suite application is installed – for example: C:\sesuite\cert\. Make sure to replace certificate.pfx with the real name of the certificate you are using.

  • For a signed certificate to be used, the server must be connected to the internet when the certificate is added and when SoftExpert Suite is started, as validations with the certificate authority will be performed. If the server does not have access to the internet during this process, we recommend using a self-signed certificate as an alternative.

Managing signed certificates in SoftExpert Suite

  1. Before moving on, make sure that SoftExpert Suite is not running:
C:\sesuite\sesuite.ps1 stop
  1. To add or remove a signed certificate, execute the following command:
C:\sesuite\sesuite.ps1 certificate

Adding a certificate

1 - Add Certificate: Used to add a certificate, if there is none already configured.

Removing a certificate

2 - Remove Certificate: Used to remove the configured certificate, if there is any.
