Additional requirements
The requirements mentioned in this section are applicable from SoftExpert Suite version 2.1.0 to the latest version.
Java
SoftExpert Suite supports the Oracle Java platform, which will require a license key from 2019 onwards; click on this link for more details. The support also extends to the AdoptOpenJDK implementation of the Java open source version, which is distributed free of charge.

¹ - Java 7 is validated for up to SoftExpert Suite version 2.0.7. Since version 2.0.8, Java 8 or later is required (installation/update).
² - Required only in Linux environments, as Java JRE can be used in Windows.
