This section lists the operating systems validated for the application server.

ATTENTION
- From SoftExpert Suite version 2.2.3 , installations and updates will no longer be supported for traditional environments; support will be provided only for Full Docker installations.
- Moreover, as of version 2.2.3, application servers with Windows Server 2016 and 2019 will no longer be supported either.

ATTENTION
- SoftExpert recommends using 64-bit GNU/Linux operating systems.
- Administrative privileges on Linux and Windows systems are required.
- For Windows Engine versions, the installer requires PowerShell versions 5+.
- For new installations or updates, it is imperative to ensure that there is no update pending in Windows Update to be applied to the operating system.

- ¹ - If you are using the Oracle DBMS, install the Oracle Provider and OJDBC components, along with the standard database client resources.
- ² - The Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 operating systems are exclusively compatible with x64 processors.
- ³ - This version is only intended for new installations of version 2.1.9 and Docker installations.
- ⁴ - This version is intended exclusively for installations using Docker. New installations must follow the new engine installer model, but updates can still be performed in the former way.

ATTENTION
- As of SoftExpert Suite version 2.1.1, Windows Server 2008 R2 is no longer supported. Official reference page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4487594/prepare-now-for-end-of-support-in-2019-and-2020
- From SoftExpert Suite version 2.1.6 onwards, new installations will no longer support Windows Server 2012.
- Support to Windows Server 2012 in SoftExpert Suite is scheduled to be discontinued by the end of the first half of 2022.
- Ubuntu 18.04 will no longer be accepted due to the end of its support, which will happen in April 2023; for this reason, we have advanced its invalidation.
- SUSE Enterprise Server 12 will no longer be accepted, as the system is outdated to use the application.
