Authentication via LDAP

The LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) authentication mode uses the "Connection String" field specified in the domain configuration (Configuration > Configuration > Authentication (CM008) > Directory Integration > Domains) to establish the connection to the LDAP server. During the authentication process, the username and password provided on the system login screen are used.

It is important to ensure that the SoftExpert Suite server has access to the address and port specified in the domain configuration, or to the default port used by the LDAP protocol (389). The connection is initiated by the system server, not the client machine.

caution

⚠️ Attention:

  • The LDAP authentication mode must not be selected if synchronization was performed using the SoftExpert Identity application, or in situations in which the SoftExpert Suite server is outside the local domain.
